Korg ds-10 Blog gets updated // adds quite a bit of info about the line of korg ms-10 hardware and software

The site called "all things korg ds 10" has been around since the beginning of 2009 and has stayed mostly right on topic until the last year. Several sites that have been dedicated to the software have vanished since the dsn-12 was released. When Gadget for switch was announced as a physical release the decision was made to include gadget, ms-10/20, ids-10, ims20 and dsn12. As of two days ago the decision went further in becoming a resource of older handheld devices, video game music and hardware. The main focus is still the korg ms10/20 family but will begin its expansion in July 2021.

IOS APP Switching Audio Effect (titles, no talking)

***you might notice my videos are kind of all over the place in regards to style, size, length and just about every other aspect. This latest video was a test of 3 iphone screen recordings. I have spent the last year learning my editing and visual software apps on ios, understanding lighting, lenses, frame rates, rules of uploading on different sites (for instance you cannot upload a song on distrokid that has the word binaural in it but there is no issue on youtube). I started making checklists of where it is appropriate to post a video and the feedback I received doing so. What I'm saying is thank you for Subscribing, liking and watching these videos and moving forward I plan on cutting out more of the "why" factors of my videos or at the very least explaining things better. I tend to have an element in my music that is constant but has slight changes in panning, volume and eq. Meaning a synth might only change a little, the drum beat might change but not in a typical song format or just straight up drones that are semi-self generating. I really enjoy actual songs but I have always enjoyed the one off style of music that has those happy accidents or more experimental in nature. That all being said.... In this video I wanted to perform what I call "the app switching trick" which is just pulling an app in AUM to the left to temporarily turn it on or off. This gives me some freedom of adding audio, fx, change rhythms or patterns on the fly and feels like I am djaying my sound further. I will add the times below of when this occurs so you don't have to sit through the whole glitched out song.

"Blackhole" industrial techno jam on ipad (no talking)

blackhole

1 of the 4 photos in the thumbnail is a real blackhole but which one?

Using drum computer as a the midi trigger and korg wave as the sound source to create this industrial sound. I named the jam blackhole because of the visuals.

I spent some time learning the drum computer app but also liked the randomness and presets more than I normally do with apps.

I have had korg electribe wave since launch and never really used it. I think the name made me think it was only to be used as a rhythm synth. Funny thing is I used it for the snare in this video and all the the triggering was done using midi from drum computer. So even though I started using it more as a synth I still had it in my head to use for rhythm. Pleasantly surprised by the sound I got in this performance with all the synths and mixbox continues to impress me.

Korg Electribe Wave

Moog Model 15

Recording Multiple Inputs & outputs on ipad with Op-z & Headphones /16 m...

One big Problem with IOS is the ability to have only 1 Audio Interface at a time.
Not a big deal unless your synth (in this case the OP-Z) acts as an audio interface
and all you can hear is the tiny speaker on the synth.
In the video I show hoe to trick the Ipad into using headphones as the output and
the op-z as the input.
Also I show how to record 16 midi tracks and a stereo output track in cubasis3
while screen recording and monitoring through headphones.
But wait there's more. There is a newish video track on the OP-Z from the last
Firmware update allowing video in the Photomatic channel. This allows for synced
video to audio with step components applied or manipulated in real time. Also
while screen recording.
Finally i'm working on new matreial and some of it is heard in the video.
I use the op-z and a "paulstretched" korg-ds10 song called Tesla Coils.

FEVR032 Filters Four Hours by Michael Nervous

Filters Four Hours is a 4 song album in which each track is an hour long ambient drone.

The Original song "Filters" was made on an iphone using the app audio unit mixer (AUM) and several synth apps with the same notes in the on position. Each synth was routed through the AUFX series apps using inter app audio. The fx apps were manipulated slowly and drastically over the 5 minute song while changing the tone and timbre of the synths. The song was made on a flight to help drown out people talking and engine noise. Portable music making apps and devices have always been my favorite part of traveling every since my first song sequencer the Boss dr-5 in the 90's.

This Album is 4 hour done for dealing with stressful situations or sleeping on planes / new sleeping environments. I use my spotify or bandcamp albums to help with these issues when I travel.
